Rules and Principles
Among the rules and guidelines key to our company is the simple principle that in our company, we do not cheat, lie, or work with or tolerate those who do. Corruption may be expected anywhere in the world, but it is never tolerated in HK, even if it is to secure or gain business opportunities. This is morally and ethically wrong, risky, and always short-term. These ways to gain a temporary advantage can be used against us, or others can pay more, and the business will go away even faster than it was secured.
Fair and Legal Practices
In the same way, we pay all salaries “officially” using available legal means; there is no expectation of an envelope with cash on top of the salary.
Balanced Work Contracts
A work contract can be seen as a fair exchange of services between two parties: one paying a salary and the other producing work and value. If there is an imbalance in either direction and, for example, the benefits from working at HK are well below those in other companies, our staff would leave us. So, keeping the balance right (salary, bonus, work conditions, ethics, kindness) is at the top of our priorities.
